lovely weather for it to go aswell :worried:

  5. Does this just go with no warning at all? Is it only when using the demister? I'm already panicking about my slightly Leaky front windscreen!! :/

Yeah my journey home is 5mins long and it literally just went bang right before i turned into my street!

    Made me Shit myself!

  7. Is this covered on windscreen cover? Mine is scratched to hell for some reason so I'm not too bothered if it does go.

just got my insurance docs out it is covered at£80 excess cost so will call them later.

it is fairly common i read a few stories about it happening on another megane site

i used to always use mine and had no probs guess it just goes when it wants.

  11. I have never used mine since I read all the horror stories. Luckily I never seem to have a problem with fogging up (think the tints stop it maybe).
Yours seem tinted though, is that what is holdin it together to stop it shattering into a million pieces?

Since this is a not uncommon problem won't RUK contribute at all? Surely it is a design flaw like the window seals that don't even attempt to keep water out? Haha.

Take note people to remember that when you turn the front windscreen de-mister button, the rear window heater button comes on automatically.

Yeah factory tints on there thats whats holding it together, whenever you shut the doors more falls out lol

New screen being fitted as we speak but i will have to get the tint put on myself as national windscreens dont do that bit.

  14. Right I'm gonna go and disconnect mine this evening if its possible? hopefully it just a case of yanking the wire out.

Yeah you could disconnect the power into the screen - not a bad idea that.

  16. Is there a dedicated fuse for it? Much more convenient to remove surely?
