Apologies for lack of posts work is just manic at the moment. Thought I would post this though as the last drew some opinions. This was one of the first uk customer le models so benefits from the carbon bits and brake cooling vents in the front bumper. Same colour as the car before but due to the fact the car wont be used in the wet and the owner is a keen detailer we went for the best finish possible and a wax finish. Car lives quite far away so was alittle bit grubby from the journey: Car was pre washed with citrus pre wash and then washed via the two bucket method and gyeon Bathe, wheels and arches were also done with Britemax Ironmax and various brushes: Looked much better: Then rolled into the garage and clayed, not much came off: Onto an inspection, like most 4c’s it was riddled with sanding marks from the factory and afew swirls and scratches:
Test spot, notice the da marks giving a pink appearance: Settled on the rupes green combination, this was used via the mini for the smaller panels and duetto for the bigger areas: Left a nice amount of gloss: More da marks on the roof: Sticker residue: Pretty impressive result considering what the polish cut through: Carbon tidied up:
I then followed up with the yellow pad and compound, then the white: Leaving the following result: Panel wiped down, then checked for correction:
This was a tough choice as the finish from polishing was so good, I tried afew and settled on Migliore Frutta, has heard good things about this on warm coloured cars and applied it to a scuderia afew months before and it looked great: Whilst that was curing I set about the rest, wheels were panel wiped and rim wax applied, exhausts cleaned with meguars finishing polish: Sills were polished and opti coat was applied to help prevent future marking, same as the carbon tub: Wax applied: Leaving:
Gyeon trim used: Carpets coated with gtechniq fabric and leather with L1: Shuts blown out and dusted off and out for the final pictures:
Then back in awaiting collection: Lastly had to get creative to remove some bug splatters behind the grill: Thanks for looking.
The attention to detail really is breathtaking Ed, top marks dude! I genuinely can't wait for the 15th!
That's an impressive acceleration time for something with 'only' 240bhp. Must be very light! How much do they go for? Were they limited run?
lol I know apologies mate @Ben they go for about 60k at the moment as the waiting list is pretty long and they are only making 200 a year, this one is the one I would get even used le spec so all the carbon bits and dark wheels come with it. The tub weighs 52kg and full car dry weight is 895kg.
