Airbag Light

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by Canky, Jan 16, 2015.

  1. Every Meg I've had has run into this issue at some point.

Does the light on the dash mean passenger air bag or drivers airbag or could it be both?

I've always thought it was passenger airbag?

  2. Could be either, one way to find out is to give the harness a wiggle under the seat if the light goes of then it's that one!

  3. I'm thinking its the drivers side to be honest, sometimes the wiggle the wire works sometimes not lol.

Turn the steering lock to lock... can you hear a faint "click"? If so, clockring assembly is broken.

  5. ill give that a try next time i'm in the car. Would getting a new clockring fix the airbag light issue then im assuming?

  6. If it was clicking you would of heard it when driving.

Mine had a dodgy plug under the drivers seat. Fixed that then the squib went.

  7. How easy is it to do the squib your self as I have had this issue since I got mine home from picking it up. And it's not under the seat as tried them both. And I have the clunk when going from lock to lock. And also were to get a replacement part from? I'm new to this. Not massively mechanical but more than willing to do the work myself and learn with any issues that crop up on the car. Any help would be gratefully accepted
