  1. done a fair bit of reading on here about upgrading the old radio, main reasoning is the poor sound it produces, now ive seen a few head units i like and i know i can retain the steering controls is there any adaptors yet that allow you to retain the info screen? Anyone with an aftermarket have any regrets about changing from standard?
    Cheers

  2. Hi I have upgraded to a Sony xb 100 to head unit with the matching xs xb160 front speakers and the xs xb 6/9's in the rear doors with a vibe under seat sub in the boot. Controlled additionally with a Sony z3 tablet using the Sony music centre app, in the top of the dash and have the autoleads adapter for the steering wheel control, gone to town with the sound deadening too. Sounds pretty good. The head unit is really powerful has the unique benefits of a class design amp built into it so no need for external amp unless you're going mad with the sound system.

  3. Here's a link to the head unit

  4. Thanks very much always had alpines in the past but big fan of sony too, not wanting to go mad on the sound but its frustrating how poor both the audio and bluetooth is on my 250

  5. forgot to mention I don't know of any after market units that have the potential to connect to oem dash displays.

  6. Yeah I've always been a fan of sony too. this head unit is exceptional full of features and works really well with the tablet using the app which stores all my music on the sd card. The sound quality is excellent and there's an extra bass button to press when the right tune comes on.

  8. CE610A84-0095-40CA-805D-BE4E3CE66755.jpeg I’ll be fitting my Pioneer DAB at the weekend. It’s a very good unit that I had in my Clio 182 and also got one in my MX5 ☺️. I’m shocked how bad the stereo is the Megane 3. Shouldn’t be surprised though as once had a Clio 200 and that was appalling.
Had the Megane 265 Trophy for three weeks now and can no longer live without DAB and mainly USB for all my music.
From the research I’ve done and with the Connects2 lead I will retain the RS monitor and the Bluetooth. The display when the stereo is in use will just show the time and temperature unless using the RS monitor then it won’t matter.
My only concern is if I change my phone ,how easy will it pair as I’m sure I pressed buttons on the original head unit and also setting the clock is done through the head unit.

  9. Which screen do you have? I looked into this a while back for keeping the original sat nav working.... you might want to sit down before reading the price.

That website has various different adaptors with good explanations though if you just search megane.
