R26 After market head unit Back to standard

    Is it a straight swap back to standard, I miss my controls on the wheel.

    Do I need my radio code? If so where do I get it from?

    Yes you will need the radio code. My radio code is stuck in the front of my service book.

    Should be a straight swap so long as the dash surround it sits in hasn't been cut/modified. You'll just need to remove any wire and dash adapters if installed.

    Can't you just get the interface cables to get the steering controls working?

    You should be able to buy an adaptor to plug steering controls into a branded headunit pal

    I bought mine from dynamic sounds on ebay, cost £20 for the non canbus version or £30 for the canbus versions :smile:
    works a treat

    Just to reiterate, you can buy the connector. I think my double din Clarion one was £20 and worked perfectly. You do lose the clock display though, such as temperature, station etc.
