  1. Illusion isn't a durable wax really mate. It's more a show wax but it's a fantastic wax that makes your paint work shine.

  2. I use AF tough coat for durability as it lasts a good six months but this is a sealant but very easy to apply

  3. I use PB a lot, great company to use. I use Desire and Spirit on my 250 and 133, both great waxes, easy to use and get a real wet look when layered, they're not cheap but you get what you pay for.

  4. In that case I'm gonna try the spirit, if I get 6 months like from a coat like it states then I'll be happy. Just wanted to give the paint a lift as the sealant I use doesn't tend to give a great shine.

  5. Nick when you say layered are you putting multiple coats of wax on or layering with another product.

  6. Layers of wax mate, usually 2-3 layers with Spirit. It's worth getting a bottle of AF Finale too, it acts as a great quick detailer topping up the coating of wax after a wash

  7. You get that in the box set along with tipple. Bargain !

  8. I use autoglym hd wax ,really good and easy to use
my oyster grey 250 looks great

  9. Carpro Hydr02 sealant for ease of application and topped with a layer of Collinite 915 for me during winter months

  10. Maybe the actual paintwork needs a polish mate, rather than just applying a wax and wondering why it doesnt meet your expectations. Do you have a machine or know someone who can mop the car first or maybe even get the car to a Detailer ? Then you can just apply a top coat f wax or sealant to keep it looking A1

  11. I was getting at the fact I wanted to get a durable wax to protect the paint for more than a few weeks rather than to get a shine. Don't know anyone with a machine but I may invest in one tbh to remove those pesky swirls. I polished the car a few months back, by hand which still gave a great shine. Hopefully the AF wax I bought keeps that protection and shine a bit longer coz a 6 hr polish and detail is pretty tough going so hope to avoid doing it too often.
