Thinking of getting a R26 Any advise would be great cheers had scoobys and other cars but love the look of the r26
Don't eat yellow snow.. But i'm going to assume from looking at previous thread, you're looking to purchase? Check windows and ALL electrics work, including washer jets front and back, windows, mirrors, no dash lights, clutch, handbrake, coolant/oil, temps. The usual maintenance gubbins.
Mines my daily, can't fault it tbh. Wouldn't say it was a harsh ride either, I don't live too far from work so mpg doesn't affect me but I average 28 which isn't too bad anyway
I too use it as a daily; it's lovely. Cruise control, potter along no problems. Yeh, it's a harsh ride at times, I work in the sticks with a fair few dodgy B roads, but then thats often where the fun is!
Having had a 225 and now a scooby depending on which model you've come from ( wrx or sti ) you may find the R26 lacking in pace running standard boost, the Meg is all about the corners in my experience. Certainly more chuckable than a scooby but less capable. Easier to live with daily too, even in two door form.
It's great in the corners and comfortable on long drives. Dont see many on the road so rare and looks good. As said its not fast in a straight line and I was thinking of maybe modding but I don't want to go down that path with the Meg as I've done that with my Audi
