AD08R pressures

Discussion in 'Track Days & Track Driving' started by Frimley111R, Aug 4, 2017.

  1. I never really bothered much with changing tyre pressures on track days as i always used road tyres but now I have AD08R's I am trying to put a bit more effort into making them work on track.

What pressures cold/hot are you using on yours?

I start at 26psi cold presssure on a warm day then adjust pressures after sighting laps and each session until running 30psi hot all round.

32 hot works well on the MK3 with them at the Ring.

  4. 30-34 hot is what Yoko say for them.

I think you have it nailed Jamie, 34 would be getting close on standard road tyres like the Michelins. Word around the net is they like a little less pressure than normal road tyres so I have mine set at 32F 30R I think on the R26 and will adjust from there on track as they heat up i.e. starting target the same hot pressures. I have a pyrometer as well so will take that with me next time on track.

  6. I run 30 front 34 rear at tyre hot temp. Once cooled they drop to 21 in the front. I start at 26/30 then keep dropping until they stabilise
