Abs sensor reader?

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by rTEM, Oct 24, 2015.

  1. Hi boys, has anyone experience with can clips? I got check esp abs and spanner on. Was thinking to get a can clip and do diagnostics myself. How much are this things an which ones u guys use?

  2. I know nobody has replied, but rather than starting a fresh thread I thought maybe update this and see if there has been any technological breakthroughs since the post was made.....?

Does anyone know of any kit available that can read the abs/esp/asr faults, at an affordable cost? Cheers

  3. Hi yes I used the Chinese copy of a clip to diagnose mine. A code reader just states a sensor issue whereas the clip stated os front sensor. Replaced it and resolved myself.

  4. Any chance of a link for where you got the gear? Cheers

  5. The fastchip rstuner will read the abs module if you purchase an additional thing for it.

If your car is not remapped it may be worth getting one new (as they come with a remap for you to upload yourself), easier to use than CLIP although not as many features.

If your car is remapped you could allways buy a second hand one and then the additional module? They allways used to pop up on cliosport fairly regularly second hand, used to go for between 80-110ish.
The module for the abs used to be 20 quid but i havent been on the fastchip website in ages so it may have changed.
