   While i was negotiating a very icy road with outside temp showing -7 ,i got check abs and then check esp come up on the dash. I'm thinking it is related to the conditions but do i need to get the errors cleared or will they go away?

   Just to add to this i did try braking hard and it did not lock up

   Check your brake fluid levels as a matter of interest;
   Mine came on after i avoided an accident requiring some heavy braking; they did clear themselves, but fluid was low and got it topped up
