Got my car serviced by Specialist Cars yesterday. Decent service and friendly staff, which filled me with confidence until...... Drove home from Abz this afternoon, gets home and decide to give the car a foam and rinse to get rid of the seagull mess (wtf do you aberdonians feed those gulls?) and spotted one of my wheel bolts on NSF sticking out. Upon checking it was only on by max two threads, and found another two bolts not even finger tight on the same wheel. Each wheel had under torqued wheel bolts and the locker nut romped up well beyond the 110Nm. Now I'm concerned what else has been missed or done in a shoddy manner on my car. Gave them a call, but as usual they have all gone home at 5:31pm coz they finish at 5:30. fecking fumin!!
Aberdeen Renault quoted me £1300+vat for my belts replacement... They've also screwed up various parts orders over the past 2x weeks. I avoid at all costs..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Called this morning but no-one of any authority about. Vented a little as still fizzing about it. I'm back up on Monday and I'm expecting a call from the service manager. Actually went the opposite direction and travelled from Aberdeen to Edinburgh after the laughable quotes I got up this way.my house costs less to mortgage.

Came to a satisfactory conclusion. A couple of calls with the service manager who was very honest in his appraisal of the situation after talking to the mechanic doing the work. I've received a full refund of my service cost and a full set of bolts and lockers. The situation that I was in was not the best to say the least, but the handling of the event by the dealer has been spot on in my mind.
Good result and fair play to the dealer in their response.... I only use them for parts as a last resort... Certainly never for servicing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
