Well after all the hassle I had of my bonnet wrap turning removal turning into a bonnet respray, the Megane has been used but not washed since. Not due to neglect just not having the time. So today I had some spare time to myself so gave her some TLC. First up was the interior, given a full vacuum and wiped down with Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl Care. Leather was treated to some Autoglym Leather Care cream as well. Exterior was given a thorough pre-rinse and then washed with Meguiars Microfibre wash mitts, two buckets and Dodo Juice Born to be Mild shampoo. Rinsed and dried using microfibre drying towels. The car is currently coated in Serious Detailing Spray Sealant so the exterior was given a quick once over with Dodo Juice Red Mist. The bonnet was still unprotected from the body shop so gave it a quick polish with Serious Detailing Deep Cleanse Polish followed by their Spray Sealant (lasts 6 months+). I then decided to de-badge the rear of the car, so whipped out the heat gun, warmed them up and peeled them off. Both the RenaultSport badge and the naff Audi(?) T badge the previous owed had fitted. Before After
Looks great Alex, so much better without the bonnet wrap  loved my Trophy.... had to do a double take when I looked at your plaque, my old Trophy was number 0443...
I agree mate, I think it looks nicer and cleaner without the wrap. A glossy genuine carbon bonnet I'd have kept but matt carbon didn't do it any favours.
Thanks mate. I think because the current Megane is so different to the Megane II, the II still holds it's own in the looks department. Still looks fresh in my opinion and nice to see a minter.
great work mate. looks loads better debadged. how are you finding the spray seal for beading/sheeting? Dave
That Spray Seal is still beading up now and hasn't had anything else done to it other than a quick spray with Red Mist on one occasion. I'll probably just give the car a wash soon and another once over with the same sealant to see it through the winter. Then next spring I'll aim to detail from the ground up, so de-iron, clay, polish and re-protect.
