I See far too Many of these on the roads these days, what is it recently. So I'm driving down a ridiculously wide road on the way home enough room for 2 wide cars to pass next to a row of parked cars. So why did a fiat punto think it was right to vere into the middle of the road and smash my wing mirror. Anyway I stopped and noticed they had too so got out to have a stern word with the driver. They ended up driving off. I did get their reg. is there anything I can do about this incident or are the police just gonna laugh if I report it. Is there any way to find the address of the driver thro a reg plate. May not be a huge price to replace the mirror but pisses me off something rotten when people clearly don't give a shit about their cars or anyone else's!!
Technically its a hit and run regardless of how little damage has been done. I'd be giving the police a phone call and take it from there.
Technically....leaving the scene of an accident (against the law).....report it to the Police....the damage to the car is not important...it's the principal of the thing and the law!!
I'm unsure of proper procedure because I've never had an accident with another driver involved. But why exactly should you have to pay for this? Cheap? I'm not sure, if it's heated and electric folding then might be quite dear.
