350mm Brake Upgrade

  1. I keep reading about the 275 Trophy R having larger 350mm discs.

Are these available to buy from Renault as a kit to fit 250/265?

  2. Probably, they'd need replacing eventually anyway on any cars with them fitted.

But it'd probably be cheaper to go for the performance friction 2 piece kit.

    RS250 likes this.
  3. the trophy r optional discs are around 1300euro....that's a f* lot, but i was staggered by the stopping ability of them!! they are high friction compound that even OEM pads work like a racing pads - I had to check the serial number and it is the same as a regular 250/265/275 pads but it brakes a looooot more

  4. Same design discs as what BMW has been fitting to their M3 for years. Lightweight hat with suspended disc. Ticks when cooling down but they're very light.

You'll find that part of the improvements are due to the caliper offset which increases brake force due to greater leverage from the centre. To fit them you need the bracket adapter also.

  5. I know Richard Meaden was planning to do this to his in Evo Magazine so might be worth a watch out there!
