275 trophy

  1. Bought my second megane rs last week, this time a 275 trophy.

It’s standard so for apart from a wagner intercooler, will get some photos once the weather improves.

  2. That looks really nice James!

  3. Cheers, the previous owner really looked after it.

  4. Very nice.

  5. Did a couple of small things today.

Fitted a 95mm front plate as the standard one looks massive, I did this on my last one too.

I also sprayed the seats and mats with some Gtechniq l1 fabric guard. CA1B17B7-DEB9-4457-8FF0-1D6A3E569BC3.jpeg

  7. The drivers seat has a slight bit of wear on the bolster so I ordered some Renovo to try and improve it. I tried it in the dark tonight so can’t really tell how it’s worked but it’s definitely better, if it doesn’t last I might try something like the Colourlock kit. 8. Really nice car mate. What other megane rs do you have ? I purchased a 275 trophy start of October. They are fantastic cars.

  9. Cheers, I used to have a 265 trophy. Got a vx220 as a replacement then back to a megane again. FB8CCF30-2713-4CDA-ADEA-EA97F2EEDA4E.jpeg

  10. Very nice. Mate. How was the vx220 ? I have a 197 and 172 cup aswell as the megane i can't seem to let them go because inhave had them for years!! Told my wife when I got the megane i would def sell one of them lol.

  11. Vx220 was a decent summer car, I didn’t drive it in the rain as it was lethal and I eventually got tired of all the rattles and creaks it made. It made me realise how good the meganes are as an all rounder.

  12. Nice little collection, I keep thinking of getting a 182 or 200 again as great cars. But so many other cars to try that I have never had. Fiesta st, 595 abarth, mazda mx5 etc.

  13. Am boring lmao only had Renault's...sad I know. Work for ford too. Get to drive all different cars on a daily basis so not all bad lol. . I actually find it hard to drive a car that puts a smile on your face the way the renault sport cars do.

  14. Have never owned a Ford. Plenty of RenaultSport. Mixed up with lots of BMW's & Subarus.

Plenty of fun offerings from BMW, Subaru & Honda with reasonable reliability/depreciation etc.

Perhaps trickier at the price point of Renaultsport but certainly what you spent on your Meg would get you there.

  15. @NotaDiesel!!! I go out on track with my mates who all have different cars and to be fair I am well impressed with the abuse my mates m3 e46 takes its ridiculous. Dont get me wrong what it needs it gets but they are fantastic on track. He has done a fair few track days in it and he drives to every track day and back.

  16. Nice trophy what number is it interested to know as mine is the same colour

  17. Number 1213

  18. Ah ah my number is 1216 great cars

  23. @James265trophy thats is a stunning car you have mate. It looks absolutely immaculate. I need to spend a bit of time on my trophy. Hopefully to get it anywhere near how good you car looks .

  24. Cheers, the liquid yellow on yours should come up a treat with some time spent on it!

  25. Yeah mate mate was immaculate when I got it 5 months ago. Bit of time spent on it should be back to that.

  26. Had a Cobra sports cat fitted last week, along with a k-tec flexi pipe. Whilst things were apart it made sense to fit the Vibra-technics torque link I had laying around along with fresh tranself NFP gearbox oil. The garage also took the car for a wheel alignment afterwards which was handy. The Akrapovic and sports cat does have a much nicer tone than the old 3inch K-etc system on my old car. Next on the list is a remap which is booked in for May! 81733D04-92F1-4BCF-90FD-776683260545.jpeg View attachment 36670 View attachment 36670

  29. I’ve nothing else planned for it really, don’t want to ruin it with any silly mods.

  30. Totally agree James. By the way, the ph1 Trophy´s have the number of unit in a plate on the center console only, haven´t they? I got that plate, but my RS isn´t a Trophy, so I haven´t idea what I´m going to do with it really, but like the bloody plate!:sweatsmile:

  31. Yes my old 265 trophy had the build number on the centre console

  32. So after the car idling like a pig when cold I’ve had to book it into Renault, I don’t normally use main dealers but as there’s no Renault specialists near by it’s worth a punt.

  33. Had the car tuned at EFI and the weekend. First dyno pull the car was too rich low down and lean higher up which made sense why it was so rough to drive. Chris thought it was a fuel pressure issue but after trying a different fuel pressure regulator it made no difference. He then tried a base map which seemed to improve things after some tweaking we ended up with some pretty decent figures.
