Not sure if anyone has posted about this car on auto trader. I think its stunning! Nicest 275 Trophy R i have seen! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...84qf&onesearchad=used,nearlynew,new&logcode=p
Very expensive and many other great cars could be had for that money or less. But regardless of the price its pretty nice.
if my euromillions comes in tomorrow night i'll be there saturday. otherwise, im not sure how anyone can quite justify it...
yeah this is A LOT better value than the targa one - I'd like to see how much the RST invoice was for also...., it has the lightweight battery and all the other goodies too.
Cost is ridiculous and if you've got £40k to spent on a Megane then you shouldn't be buying a Megane..... Saying that, it'll be an absolute monster on track and probably wipe the floor with most things!
Probably won't have much of a warranty if any with Renault unless your meaning a warranty with the garage selling it.
It was at RS Tuning getting worked on when I was their for a remap, lovely car and rare in that colour Did Renault revert back to 3 years warranty then because the 265 was 4 year wasn't it?
I think people haven't read the advert Very void, or at least a lot of the mechanical stuff. They might cover the bodywork/rust and any interior issues etc. etc. anything not attached to the stuff that's been changed. At least that seems to be how they do it these days and seems reasonable.
Much nicer than the TargaFlorio car. I personally think it's a shame it's been modified but to the right person it's definitely worth the money!! Only issue is there is very few of those people. As said before anyone with 40k to spend on a toy will go elsewhere and anyone who can afford to finance a 40k motor won't be doing so on what will be a second car! Mods will put off collectors too. I dare say if the Targa car has been sat there for that long at 40k and not shifted this may well do the same.,
Base price new with ring pack & RS monitor must have been around £34-35k with all the dealer discounts. Someone has spent at least £5k+ on these mods to increase the power. The dealer has probably factored all this into the asking price. Not quite sure why someone has gone over 350+bhp (bragging rights?) as it will very hard to put down in a FWD car, even with the Trophy R's chassis and handling ability. Probably bought as a track toy project, or tuners demo car.
Nothing hard at all with putting the power down, Im not running far off those levels and its fine. They need that sort of power anyway to be classed as a properly "fast" car anyway, Stock power is a bit lethargic
OK; there comes a point when too much power through the front wheels ruins these cars and the driving/handling characteristics. Even with bespoke mapping, LSD, trick electronics, stiffer chassis, race rubber etc, etc. Of course driving ability will also be a very significant factor. Anyone who likes to drive FWD performance cars knows that there is a limit. I reckon anything significantly over 330bhp would be really pushing it in terms of practical usability for me, with the same spec car less the mods. (As stock, with the factory map it is certainly not a lethargic drive BTW). Physics dictates that RWD & 4WD cars can handle power mods far better and I would go A45 AMG, Golf R or similar if I wanted to buy/tune for more useable power. Just my opinion of course
Just to let you guys know, I Spoke to the owner of the Trophy R today & he said the car is priced so high due to it being on SOR (Sale or Return) but he said he wants closer to £32K for the car
So they want £8k from it??? Why don't they just price it more realistically? No one is going anywhere near it at that price, no matter how lovely.
Yes mate I totally agree, I think at the time the trader was pricing it similar as the white one that Targa Floria are selling. My friend has purchased a new car now & wants this gone. I know he paid more than he's asking for now.
