Hi, I've had a few Renault Sport cars, Clio V6 and Clio 172 (Phase 1) before I got the Megane. I love the car but a recent issue I've had with it has made me question if I want another Renault. I'm currently on holiday in Wales, I got out the car a few days ago and could smell unburnt fuel. I had a look under the car to find the feed line to the fuel filter had been fixed in a position where it was permanently rubbing against the brake line with no protection. As far as I'm concern this a dangerous design fault, it wouldn't take much for the fuel mist to hit the exhaust causing a major fire. Is this a common issue with 250/265 Meganes? Do other people Meganes have the fuel line against the brake line? I'm currently arguing with Renault about rectifying this fault as the car is out of the warranty period.
