250 RS cup - 19" vs 18" wheels?

  1. Thanks for membership. I am considering buying a 2011 Megane RS cup version. Its fitted with the 19" Renaulat wheels but can see that a lot of owners switch to smaller 18" rims? Why is that? Is it the comfort, handling or why? Cheers from a big Danish fan and soon to be Megane RS owner

  2. 18" should improve the handling and comfort. I run the 19" wheels to but after switching to KW V3 coilovers I've become more tempted to try 18" wheels. It's still doable from drivers perspective when I run the coilovers on soft settings but for passengers it can be a harsh ride. Being able to run Michelin PS4S tyres is a nice benefit of the 19" wheels though. :tongueout:

  3. Thanks - makes sense - this car has too been lowered so I am sure its brick hard. I will determine after some time whether to change to 18" or stay on 19" - wheels and tyres are expensive in Denmark. A total of 25 RS's are registered in this country

  4. Only 25 units in all the country?? In Spain that quantity can be in a town!
About the wheels, if you like to go fast, mountain roads and circuits, I would tell you 18, better handling and senses. If you don´t use it for that, is only a question of image and liking. My opinion.
