250 Passenger Seatbelt Buckle Rattle

  1. I have regular seats (non-recaros) and i find that my passenger front passenger seatbelt buckle rattles like crap sometimes, it seems to be weather related, the hotter the weather, the worse the rattle. It's the the buckle that the seatbelt goes and clips onto. When it rattles if i hold it compressed and tensioned then it stops. Seems like maybe a spring or something inside the buckle that's dodgy. Anyone else have this issue? I'm thinking of buying a new buckle as it is annoying the heck out of me. Usually it rattles only when seatbelt is clipped in. But today without having a passenger on, it started rattling like a tin and i move it about and eventually it stopped.

Slightly different for me - I have it where the bit the passenger belt goes into, rattles against the seat (recaro's here, and fully slid back and lowered). So whenever a passenger gets out i push the buckle forward so it wedges between the wide part of the recaro seat and the arm rest, then i get no rattle.

  3. Well it happened to my 205 very often a about a decade ago, a few spray of those silicon spray (3M or Wurth) into it stop the rattle completely.
