250 - Grease from hub on wheel?

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Evoluzione, May 27, 2015.

  1. I've got what looks like grease on the inside of my front offside wheel and it seems to be coming out where the wheel bolts on my 250.

Any ideas what it could be?

Edited to add cars driving perfect no noise or odd behaviour.
    Thanks

  2. I'd take a quick look at the cv joint behind the hub, see if its popped off

  3. Will be the grease between the face of the wheel and hub. If you've had a sprited drive and had the disc properly hot it makes the grease runny, hence the fling off.

  4. Ah that will be it in then, I was at Oulton Park yesterday, so yeah the discs got more than a little hot.

    Thanks

  5. still pop wheel off and check drive shaft boot though

  6. Could this be a leaking shock ? One of mine was leaking and the pair were replaced under warranty
