I own 10 plate 250 cup had every option when factory ordered exept recaros. Im looking at a set on ebay out of a 250 but the drivers airbag has gone off. My question is:- Do renault sell the airbag unit for the side of the seat separately for the 250 cs seat or is it a whole new seat?
My passenger seat airbag went off (along with the curtain airbags along that side) when someone drove into me a couple of years back. The airbag is replaceable - that part of the back has a panel that lets the airbag through, so the whole thing can be replaced without needing to change the seat.
I asked at Capitol seating when I saw some seats similar on eBay. They told me its not available on its own and has to be ordered with the seat. If you can pick one up though as Framerate says its not the biggest job in the world to change it.
I didn't fit it myself, it was done was part of the insurance fix. I can't imagine a whole replacement chair was ordered just to fix the part? That would seem mad given that back is already pre-cut to allow the airbag to come out without damaging the rest of the back.
