225 throttle body on 250 inlet plug swap

  1. Wonder if anyone can help? I've got a 250 engine in my Clio 197 and have fitted a 225 throttle body but now need to swap the plug from a 250 to 225 one. I'm not much of an electrician and was sent this regarding the order that the wires need to go in to the 225 plug. Any help would be fantastic

    Pin 1 = G4
    Pin 2 = G3
    Pin 3 = M4
    Pin 4 = M3
    Pin 6 = D3
    Pin 5 = G2

Here's my current 250 plug and wires 6308d17581f4471d9d05bbdb848d2013.jpg

    Hi Matt
Why have you fitted the 225 TB and not left the 250 one fitted, i have gone the other way and fitted the 250tb to my 225 loom.

I have some pics and wiring diagrams i can sort tonight, are you on whatsapp might be easier to send across.

Big Uno and odinson like this.
  3. Because of the loss of throttle when I come to a standstill. I've been told by multiple people that the r26 ecu doesn't communicate well with the 250 throttle body and all mentioned using 225 one so I'm going to try it

I know what you mean, had the same a couple of times, but not for the first 300 miles with it connected, went to RS for a map tweak and it (touch wood) hasn't happened again, did Oulton park the day after and no issues, i know RS has a meg Clio that does this no throttle thing a lot.
