  1. Hi all. Well only had my megane 225 6 weeks and slowely sorting through some of its niggles. One of the main things im wanting to do is lower it a touch so im heading towards the cooksports as they seem to be what everyone seems to favour. My only concern is do you think they will be ok on my standard shocks? I no there ment to be but im just thinking there age??? The car is a 07 plate with just under 70k. Do you think i will be ok or should i wait and save for new shocks 2. Any help/advice would be great. Ive had clio sports for the last 9 years so the megane is a new ball game!!!

    Cheers

  2. Hey dude.
My car is also an 07 and I put cooksports on the stock shocks at just shy of 80k (now at 85k)
They are all fine, if it's not broke don't fix it! If they do start to suffer then change them over later.
    Are you doing them yourself?

  3. Depends who is replacing, if you carry out yourself then no issues in reusing the std used shocks, if they fail then you need to re strip down and replace.
I changed and paid someone to change mine so for the cost it is worth getting new shocks around 180 quid for all 4 from ads I think. Otherwise you will need to pay someone twice to swap!

  4. Ok guys thats great, it will be me and my mechanic mate so no real cost involve in the swap.

Thanks fpr your advice. Great help.
