Basically we are a car dismantlers who a while ago removed a running perfect engine from a 55reg 225 with 80 odd k miles showing I assumed the code to be F4R 774 However the engine has been returned by the customer as the top of the block at the rear is clearly embossed with F4K?? Were any built with the F4K block or has it more than likely been rebuilt at some stage, sorry to sound dim but i am not that clued up on renault stuff!!! Any help would be great thanks in advance Ian
Thanks for the replies its definetely says F4K and does have the oil feed thing from oil pump as a turbo lump should have, but having researched renault did a few Laguna 2.0T so im guessing its had a rebuild at some time in its life with a laguna block used
Weird, this one's a 1.8 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Laguna-1-8-16v-Manual-Petrol-Engine-F4K-63-269-Miles-/141362634123
You'll find none of the blocks are marked actually marked as F4R.... All megane 225 / r26 are F4K as the 2.0 F4R is a stroked 1.8 F4K.
