225 Cup Misfire

  1. Morning,

225 Cup '55 plate. 80k FSH! Only had it a month and has a fuel leak which I've pinned down and having replaced. The 1st rubber hose from the hard fuel line on the o/s/f of the engine bay has 3 jubilee clips which were loose too. I've tightened these maybe too much. Now from cold it accelerating upwards of 5k it coughs and splutters, worse in 5th & 6th gear under load. It has had an injector replaced already prior to me owning it.
It's going in today for some cooksport springs and the fuel line, any help please with the misfire?!!!
    Cheers

  2. Coil packs maybe breaking down.common fault as they are subjected to prolonged high temps.

  3. I've read so many previous posts I didn't know where to start! Plugs seem to be mentioned lots too. Tks.
