2016 rs tracking settings

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Thinbot, Jan 31, 2017.

  1. has anyone got info on what these should be. took it to a local tracking place that are usually pretty good and they only had 2015 specs for the 250. should have been fine I assumed but tracking is still a little off pulling to the left. wondered if anyone had the exact settings if they are different or if anyone knows a GOOD tracking places in the south East Midlands. near Stratford would be ideal

  2. Whatever the settings if it's not going straight it's operator error as settings tend to be symmetrical so I don't blame you for looking for another place although if you've paid good money they should make it right.

  3. This is of interest too.

  4. Had mine aligned a while ago, they only had the 250 setting aswell, but it should be the same no?
For me the setting was good.

Stock cars can only have Toe adjusted anyway.

Personal preference really, Ive ran toe out, toe in and parallel on mine so far, Turn in is a bit sharper with some toe out but it pulls and follows road inperfections a bit more and is what i tend to run nowadays

  6. Only adjustments are front toe, no camber front or rear unless want to fit camber plates rear.

Front toe factory set is 10 mins total (5mins side, toe OUT)

  7. thanks bobsan. tool it back this morning and sat in it myself to align the steering wheel. suddenly when I put it straight it showed front left toe out was waaaaay off. now drives spot on. think they had just lined it up to the white stitching on the top of the wheel but that's not 1000000% central.

  8. Yes, did right thing there, plus just having your weight in vehicle will allow set up to a finer value than without drivers weight as the anti roll bar (which affects toe) is not loaded.

  9. so true

  10. where did you go in the end?

  11. eclipse tyres in Alcester. normally bang on but missed on the first go on mine. and again today on an xkr tracking was off after lowering springs fitted took two goes at it to get it right. spot on now, but just a little frustrating.
