2013 265vs250 differences

  1. Was wondering what noticeable differences there are between the two besides the power differences

  2. not sure how much power difference there is either, from what i have seen on here most 250's roll out the factory at 260+

  3. 265 does have a bit more power but then a remap completely removes the difference between the two

  4. Im pretty sure the 265 came with a stronger gearbox mount also which I've heard can be an issue in the older 250s.
The way the sport button works is a tiny bit different also but apart from that they seem to be the same after a remap as stated above.

  5. iirc my 250 had 264hp before a map so that's already more than 265cv, not that anyones going to notice the marginal differences between all of the mk3 Meganes.

265s have a slightly different rear spoiler and at least on my friends it had gloss black interior trim rather than matt.

  6. So presumably they downgraded the power in the 265 so that it has less than the 250. Seems logical. ;-)

On a serious note, unless I am mistaken, power = toque x rpm so at the same rpm surely the extra 20nm must produce added watts.

  7. They didn't downgrade the 265, they just all produce more than what Renault says

  8. Yes. Only logical conclusion. So the peak power isn't much different, but power at a specific rev may be higher.
