Hey guys.i have looked but cant find a definative answer. I have a retchid airbag light and spanner symbol on the dash and i believe it was ever since i moved a seat (cant remember which one). I have turned of car and unplugged the seat plug, turned car on briefly then off, plugged seats in and started car and they still remain. Can somebody help me to get this bloody light out. I heard some people use a resistor of some sort ? Help would be greatly appreciated.
Get some little 3.3 ohm resistors and plug them in each airbag plug on the loom. I used them on the two plugs for the steering wheel airbag
Surely the resistor is just to trick the ecu into believing the airbag/seatbelt tensioner is there? In this case everything is in place, however the car was turned on whilst one of the components was unplugged resulting in the ecu flagging the fault. I'm fairly new to Renault but in other cars I've owned the only way to reset an airbag fault is via the OBD port with a diagnostic tool
I get this on the drivers seat. If I pop it forward to install a child in the rear seat if pops up. To be honest I just wriggle the wiring block about till it goes out. Takes a few wiggles but goes out eventually. Did exactly the same thing on my clio cup. It's just reminding you it's French and does what it wants every now and again...!
