Hi All, I'm considering selling our Renaultsport Megane, as much as it pains me after recently spending well over 3k on it, my better half wants an SUV and I have to concede it is probably a better option for our family. So the car is what I believe to be a pretty rare spec, being a black 5 door and lux spec (full leather/climate/cruise/heated seats etc etc) but with the addition of the extreme pack which brings red brembos, the drilled discs from the R26, grey wheels and uprated suspension (Eibach springs as standard) It's a 2007 facelift model with 67,000 miles on the clock. Shortly after I bought the car I put it in to Renaultsport specialist Engine Dynamics for the following work; Remap Scorpion cat back K&N panel filter Engine Dynamics shortshift KTEC engine mounts New genuine Renault injectors Oil service Unfortunately for me during the process of carrying out the above the engine was found to be low on compression, the route cause was eventually traced back to a previous generic remap that hadn't been doing the engine any favours! Therefore I instructed Engine Dynamics to rebuild the engine accordingly, replacing big end bearings, all piston rings, refurbing the head, new Renault cambelt kit, coolant, spark plugs and so on, the engine was then ran in for 1000 miles and then went back for an oil change. The end result figures wise was just shy of 260hp and with 285lb/ft with a very progressive power delivery which is what I requested. Safe to say a couple of thousand miles later the car is running and performing very well indeed! And service wise needs nothing for some time given that pretty much everything was replaced a little over 2 months back! Externally the car is in good order, some stonechips to the bumper and a few marks here and there, but overall very presentable, the wheels were all perfect however my partner kerbed one the other day  tyres are near new Hankook Evos all round. There are a few issues to mention, firstly the drivers window is working intermittently, however I have a freshly refurbed Temic module from renaultwindow.co.uk which will come with the car. There is also a slight wheel bearing noise (I notice it, the Mrs doesn't!) this has been narrowed down to the passenger front, as thinking it was the drivers front, I had Engine Dynamics replace that one, and the rear discs are almost new, so by sequence of elimination only the passenger front remains! Otherwise everything works, there are no warning lights etc, and the car drives very well indeed. I have two keys (both working) and all handbooks etc with service history and receipts for everything I've had done as well as a dyno sheet and things like the lifetime warranty paperwork for the Scorpion exhaust. I think it's fair to say this is not a neglected or run down version of this car and has had no expense spared in my ownership, which can only be good news for the next owner! I'll upload pictures ASAP (most likely at the weekend), the car is available to view in Manningtree, near Colchester. I'm after £3100 for the car and not open to offers, given the asking price is far less than what I've spent on it in upgrades/repairs alone.. Any questions get in touch!
Inside... Leather regularly cleaned with Zymol leather cleaner, can't stand dirty shiny leather!! From looking around at what else is out there I know this car is silly cheap, I'll keep it on here for a couple more days should anyone be interested, but will then put it on ebay/pistonheads etc, but not at the price offered here!
