R26 2-piece disk options

  1. Yeah, we fitted the smaller water bottle to my brother's megane. Still might be tight for ducting, although there may be a way to mount the bottle higher for more clearance.

  2. The biggest issue looks to be some proper outlets for the discs... it'd be nice to have some properly made as there's clearly demand!

    Mattyt and Sam@NP like this.
  3. Doing some suspension work to the car over Christmas, so i'll have a look at what's possible.

  4. I'd go with performance friction as they're tried and tested. My oem discs have warped ever so slightly following my track sesh on a very hot day last year.

For ducting the setup I have on my race car looks pretty much like this thing from DT:

The duct tubing is held in place via a hose clip which is then bolted to the steering knuckle with a made up bit of bracket. The outfit that did much of the build of my race car made it all up in their workshop, it seems like they mounted the above using the mounting points for the brake disk cover plate (a Porsche obsession, they seem to fit them on all their cars). On that car the caliper is to the rear and the steering rack to the front, no drive shafts to worry about so routing is a little easier.

I haven't looked on the Megane to see if something similar kit can be made up.

  6. As James said when I do the coilovers on mine over Christmas I'll be looking into the cooling route again
