R26 17" wheels, what offset

  1. If I was to look into a set of 17s for track use, something like Alleggerita HLT or Formula HLT. What offset would be best for a good track width without running spacers or upsetting the handling? I can see 45 and 55 are available.

They should clear 330mm discs too.

  2. No one?! I would have thought 17s would be quite popular for track wheels.

  3. I'm getting either ultraleggera's or the TD 1.3's for my 250 in 17". I'm getting them in 5x114.3 17x8/9 offset 45. Think the discs on the 250's are bigger than the R26 too, 343mm iirc

  4. I used to have OZ Ultraleggera on my 197 Cup and the offset of ET55 was perfect

ET55 will be a decent offset of the 225/R26. I've also had a set of 197 wheels with slicks in my 225 and they fit no bother too even with 330mm brakes behind them.

as for tyre size on the 17s is run 225/45R17

  5. There's either the Ultraleggera 17x8 ET55 or Alleggrita HLT 17x8 ET55. The Ultras are 7.7kg each roughly £1000 for a set, the Allegs are 6.9kg and £1200

Anyone got any photos of 17s on a Megane? Don't want them to look dwarfed by the car!

18x8 Ultras are 8.4kg around £1200 and Allegs are 7.8kg closer to £1600

Cheap options are some Rota Boost 17x8 ET48 at 9.1kg and £575 or TD Pro Race 1.2, same weight but another £75.
