Hi all been on here now a few months so I thought I better introduce myself. I bought my 2002 1.9 Dynamique in the autumn while browsing gumtree. Came with 17" Nervasports with new tyres and new brakes all round.It had originally failed its mot due to worn tyres and brakes.The owner was taking it to get redone at the mot centre and it broke down on the way. He tried to work out what was wrong and fix it but he couldn't and got fed up and put it on gumtree for the price of £150. An hour later I had bought it. It would not rev over 3000 rpm but with a bit of help from google we realised the egr valve was at fault. Cleaned it and blanked it and it runs a treat. Replaced a rear brake calliper for £60 and some new h/brake cables for £30 and it flew through the mot I have done a few things here and there to spruce her up and she now looks sweet! Cannot believe how good these Meganes are.
Nice cheap car there then Welcome along mate. What cars are you comparing the Megane to? Vauxhall I guess?
Yeah had a few vauxhalls before and then a Peugeot 307 1.6 Rapier. The only extra that had was electric front windows. I just can't believe that my Megane comes with double panoramic sunroof,leccy Windows all round,electric folding mirrors,push button start,6 speed box,loads of storage compartments and has a great chassis and good fuel economy. Super little car for not a lot of money
They are very equipped compared to the equivalent Ford or whatever. Bonus if they're all working.... Not fancy a 175 dCi?
