250 SEAT AIRBAG RESISTORS

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by T&biskits, Aug 11, 2016.

  1. Airbag light only goes off when the fault has been fixed or airbag ecu is configured to suit, removing battery makes no difference. You will need to plug it in and see what is causing the fault.

  2. Thanks, I’ll try and get it to a garage with a diagnostics machine then.

  3. The active fault is the one causing the issue. The other cleared.
    Any ideas people?

could this be the seatbelt as they have been removed?

  4. I sorted it. Was a loose resistor in the belt tensioner plug. Re seated, tested, sorted.

  5. This is interesting, Ahmed! Does this mean the car could catch fire in a collision?

Could you shed some light on how to fuse a resistor and what amperage rating it should have? Also, would a fusible resistor be a better option, or should I use a conventional resistor?

Ideally, I’d like to be able to disconnect the resistor and reinstall my Recaro seat after using a bucket seat, rather than having to connect the car to a diagnostic computer every time.
