Hi all. Putting my car on the market. Renault Mégane Renault Sport 225 2.0 RS 5 Door 2004. More pics are on the ebay advert here: https://ebay.us/m/FNNbgW The car has done just over 79,000 miles (see pictures), plenty of service history/paperwork, and mechanically the engine and gearbox are both strong. It’s still driven currently (thus mileage may increase slightly) and when it’s running right, it’s an absolute joy to drive. Good points: - Engine pulls strongly with no issues - Gearbox is smooth and works perfectly - OEM half leather seats - Rare orange Renaultsport seatbelts - Cruise control - MOT'd until May 2027 The car is mostly standard. Extras fitted by previous owners as follows: - Larger intercooler - Upgraded centre console (oem will come with sale) - CD Player with Bluetooth connectivity - Brighter headlight bulbs - Performance air filter included but not fitted - Aftermarket horn on a separate footwell switch (standard horn still works normally) - I have never used this feature anyway. Being completely honest, the car now needs some work and attention, which is reflected in the price. I simply don’t have the time or money to put into it properly anymore, otherwise I’d keep it. Hence the reluctant sale. Known issues currently: - Steering rack has play and likely needs replacing soon. Steering rack play was an advisory on most recent MOT. - Can struggle to start first time in very hot/cold weather despite a new battery. Resolution yet to be determined - Driver’s electric window is intermittent - Heater fan currently not working - Some small age-related scratches however normal for a car of this age. - The car also previously suffered blocked scuttle drains which allowed water into the bottom of the car. A Renault specialist cleared and drained everything a few months ago via drilling 2 small holes and advised it likely should now be dry. Since then, the only electrical issues I’ve noticed are the driver window and heater fan mentioned above. This would suit an enthusiast or someone looking for a solid project with good potential.
