Hey Guys! Car Specs: - Megane RS280 - 2018 - Non Cup Chassis - 43000km - Daily driver in Austria (snow; rain etc) (sry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find anything) I wanted to install some lowering springs (H&R) on my Meg. Asked a local shop with good Reviews (Elferwerk in Baden by Vienna) and got a call from (I think) the owner, telling me that the same car from another customer has been blocking a lift in his shop for weeks, because basically every suspension component either snapped or got damaged while disassembling to install a KW V3. That guy now has to pay 4000€ just in replacement parts in addition to the 3 grand for the coilerovers themselves. According to him, his contact at Renault told him that this is a known issue. Long story short he won't do it. Now I dont care that this shop doesnt do it, I can find another but I was wondering if this really is a known issue? I searched on forums, Reddit, generell google search and asked two guys on insta who have installed springs and a full suspension, but nothing. No posts saying it was a problem, the two guys were very confused and told me everything was ok in their cases. I then called my local Renault Dealer / Shop and asked the tech department if he knew of anything. And he had newer heard it either. I know that bolts can snap and whatever but 4 grand just in replacement in rough. Also makes me fearful of the future for when stuff actually breaks. And im not ready to drop 4 grand of repairs for a set of 300 € springs... So my question to anyone who has worked on the suspension: Is this true? Was it a bad car for that one guy? Didnt the owner just not wanna do it? Any experiences are very appreciated! Thx, Alex
