Balancing of wheels by special machine when wheels are in car, and a wheel that cannot be balancable

  1. Hi guys,

I have vibration problem in my Megane car.
    1. I checked the wheels to check for minor movement in the wheels on both horizontal and vertical axis and there is not problem in this.

    2. I went for Wheel Balancing.
Firstly Check all Rims out of Tyre and after make balance all of them,
then Make Balance for All wheels(Rims and Tyre) out of car with wheel balancing machine that rotate wheel and show some numbers for sure about Balance and added some plumbum to Rims...

    3. After all 4 wheels balanced out of car with that balancing machine,
decided to make balance With a Different Balancing machine that balanced the wheels inside the machine itself for 2 front wheels when turning on the car and rotate wheels by car not by machine balancing...

The car was lifted to one side with a jack,
That Balancing Machine it placed near to the up side wheel,
And after turning on the car,
Pedal goes down and the speed went up with the gear shift in about 90 km/h with 2500 rpm.

The wheel near to passenger It was easily balanced in just 5 minute,
but the wheel near to driver, not balanced even after 40 minutes and too much effort!

What is your idea about this?
You think problem is about which part of suspension?

The Reason of all of this was I have vibrations in car when moving,
and I can feel it through the pedals and steering wheel this vibrations.
    Thanks for your help.

  2. where did the balancing on car was done? at home on a DIY basis or at a professional garage with the correct tool and machine.
I have to say i never heard of balancing wheels fitted on the car, if the 4 wheel are balanced outside the car then it should be OK unless something is wrong or you have a play somewhere in the suspension set up. sometime it is very difficult to check for play until the weight of the car is on the wheels.

I would use a 2 poster lift, take the wheel off and check with a lever all the joints,
also check you disk are not warped.

  3. The Balancing was done at a professional garage.
And Reason of this was I has vibration on may car when driving.
And Yes you are right, if the 4 wheel are balanced outside the car then it should be OK in normal situation,
but if some parts of suspension have problem,
even after outside balancing, there will be problem...

I have replaced all 4 disks and problem was not about that.

Now my doubts is about driveshaft right and left sides cv joint...
What is your idea about that?

  4. could be driveshaft or wheel bearing (they usually make a noise). without seeing the car it is difficult to define.
Unfortunately you will have to try all of the potential check until you find an issue.

  5. Yes, My doubt is this too...
but it is so strange I have not heard noise sound about this...
and this problem was occurred in many days ago,
so it is strange why problem not be bigger in these days...
