had this for a while Esp/asr but need to fix as Mot soon, comes on all the time but occasionally goes off on starting until actually moving; read ages ago about calibrating steering wheel position is this a possibility checked cabling connections at rear of front discs, also replaced rear discs and cleaned abs rings,
Sounds like a wheel bearing or sensor fault. The sensor will be getting an incorrect signal as soon as you start moving or will be getting a permanent fault. You'll need to get it plugged in to pin point which one Edit: this can also happen if you're using snow tyres (just in case you are)
When car war with Mark Black he picked up balljoint needs replacing so hopefully it s that not wheel bearings as he would of defo picked that up. Just don't need another large bill
There's no reason a ball joint would cause an esp fault. It's pretty easy to find out which wheel is causing the problem, you can read the live data off the diagnostic machine when spinning each wheel or driving the car.
