Im new! Im hoping someone can help! Just put a deposit on a 2006 5 door silver Renaultsport Megane, thats advertised as a cup model. Ive researched this on line intensely and there doesnt seem to be a definitive answer on how to tell! They seem to come in 5 door, 3 door, different coloured wing mirrors, with and without full leather, etc, etc. The car has CUP inscribed on the uprights in between the doors, but doesnt seem to have drilled discs or red brake calipers and has full leather and air con Ive rang Renault and they say the car spec has: "Sports equipment level" "Extreme pack supplement" Any one got any idea what this is or includes? Car is registered Jan 2006 Reg BL55 GWE Im also under the impression that all regular Megane Renaultpsorts were upgraded to the Trophy spec in late 2005 anyway. Ive seen this on many sites. If this is right then what did the cup add to that? Very confusing! Am I being sold own the river? Im only really fussed about the better/stiffer suspension, sharper steering, enlarged brake cylinder and the fact you can turn the traction control completely off! But im thinking that may all be on a regular Megane from late 2005 anyway? Am I right? Thanks Graeme
Mines a 225 cup and it says on drives side door opening. Mine has half leather and manual heater controls with air con. It says cup on B posts between windows so on.. It's got red brembos with Drilled front disc but I did fit them.
mine has "cup pack" does not state on log book "cup" nor is it on the pillars, and i have silver calipers and matching mirror/wheels and traction stays off over 30
Thanks for that How did/do you know it has the cup pack? Is it on any paperwork or anything? I'm trying to figure out if this one has it or not!
The garage say the traction control stays off above 30mph Is that a pretty good indication it's a cup?
Right now got car.... Traction control stays off at any speed However I've noticed it also has tyre pressure sensor system (which is broken) So could it be a lux? And cup?
I second that and mines a phase 1 cup and has red calipers and they ain't been repainted. Mines stamped in drivers door B pillar saying renaultsport 225cup.
This one has cup badges But not on log book However traction stays off when turned off, at any speed Im thinking maybe this was revised in late 2005 on all Renaultsport Meganes (this one has definitely NOT been mapped) Doesnt seem to be a definitive answer to this, even Renault dont know, stupid French cars, dont even know what their cars are.......
