Hi all, thought I would start a thread here to say hello and for somewhere to keep a record of any modifications, changes and photos of my new car. After selling my Honda S2000 Track Car I was searching for a new car to have some fun in and tinker with and found this Megane Trophy advertised on eBay. I had no idea these cars were so cheap but have heard how fun they are so I instantly went and had a test drive and bought the car. The car has: RS Tuning Stage 1 (244bhp) 2.5" Scorpion Cat Back Exhaust Ktec Panel Filter & Airbox Mod HEL Braided Lines, Brembo Discs & Mintex Track Pads New Cup Shocks & Springs So far just doing some little cleaning up jobs such as: New number plates, cleaned up the calipers, fitted some subtle Trophy Decals and waiting on a splitter to arrive. Am I right in saying that a 3" De-cat & Ktec System accompanied with an uprated Intercooler will be my next step in gaining more power? Thanks in advance ---------------------
nice Trophy good to see another. I don't have a map myself but 244 for an RS Tuning stage 1 seems low
Cheers fellas. I can't agree with you on the stickers, I feel like a limited run car should come with them, they're on very subtle anyway. As for the power, I have an rs tuning printout of 244 and then a dyno run a year later of 268, I imagine it may be somewhere between the two.
This is what it looked like when I bought it 4-5 yr ago! That was my fav car until I got the 250 I was sad to see drive away when I sold it!!
Looks great, my old Trophy (No 0443) was such a good car..... I'm also not a fan of the stickers, I always think a special edition should be as original as possible, still looks great though.
The guy who took it from you must have sold quickly then, or did Tom take it from you. I wish I'd bought this one in January when I was looking and got mine.
He said he had no need for it anymore which seemed odd as he had booked a ring trip. Can't find anything wrong with it though..
Splitter looks great mate. Been after one fort trophy as its split and NLA from Renault. Where did you get it from if you don't mind me asking?? cheers
Painted all the interior trim Silver as it was a mismatch of different colours after someone removed the carbon fibre. Also painted my mirrors and badges to match my R Spoiler and Wheels
I think its because they yellow and people remove them thinking they can buy a new set and then discover a set from Renault is over £1200
Because the carbon is actually truly horrible - I'm all for originality and have been a bit ocd about it in the past but it just looks crap, it also ages the interior - I've put mine away and put gloss black bits in there now.
Got my Renault Sport Plates to put on on trackdays Thinking of stripping the rear bench and purchasing some fixed back buckets
The guy you sold it to claimed it never had any carbon trim when he bought it. Guessing someone offered him good money for it
Here's some pics of just before I sold it! So it defo had the carbon in, I know how hard and the cost of these are and would never think about taking it out as I liked it all original as its a limit edition which would hold its value a little bit more! The only thing I changed inside was the stereo. Hope you got it at a good price!
Done my first bit of Track time in this car today at Silverstone National, I was very impressed with the car, the brakes and suspension were excellent though the eagle f1 tyres are pretty dead now Managed a 1.13 which I'm pretty pleased with on road tyres and no fixed back seats
Fitted my Corbeau Clubsports and rear brace today. Just waiting on my harnesses to arrive. Anyone on here got use of the CLIP program to turn off airbag and seatbelt lights around southern England?
