What have you done to your Car today?

  1. Yea I like idea of aftermarket but mate can't do the mapping on them and at the moment as I'm getting all my mapping for free so gonna stick with standard ecu until cars at a level im happy, rather spend the 1k plus on other bits

you decided on a digi dash too?

also what treaded tyres do you use off 1a? Thinking of mabey doing a one off in time attack next year just dunno what tyres to get seen people use the potenza's a002 or something like that?

  2. Swapped the cambelt, water pump and aux kit.
    long day.

  3. Mid box cutted open and removed all from the inside, then welded back together. God it sounds awful, dont you ever do it like this. Its sounding like when you blow inside some empty glass bottle. Have to buy some pipe and cut out the box completely.

  4. Not much to talk about, looks like most other new cars on the market, shite and boring

  5. Looks like a big clio

  6. You think the front and rear light are like most other new cars?

i think the interior is pretty cool, modern at least and the flappy paddle box apparently is miles better on the 220 so you would think it would be slick in the megane

  7. Yeah certainly the rear, interested to see what they do for the RS

  8. dropped the car off to get shocks changed to R26 units, picked up some low mileage units on here. also getting track rod ends and inner tie rods along with steering bush changed. hoping it feels like a new car :tongueout:

  9. He can map the standard ecu but cant map something that would be 100x easier! seems odd!

I'll use a race technology dash once its all done!

Tyres wise ive used Dz03g for one, V70a for the most and the last race N2sr. The mods on your car will mean you'd be in the same class as me with cars of 500/600hp

  10. Wipers and scuttle panel off cleaned water drains as one was blocked, causing my windscreen to mist up, changed the undertray rusty bolts for m6x 20mm stainless steel bolts and stainless steel penny washers ,serviced, detailed

  11. Finally got the car back....its had SMF and new clutch (can't tell the diff except from the sound on start up), new front hubs, new front wheel bearings, new battery, new lower arm bushes.

It stung, but thats what happens when you buy a car thats lost 60%+ of its value...part of the game

  12. Did the 225 Centre box chop. Does sound soo much better.

  13. Just got in from a good night time B road blast! These RS cars really are a piece of magic!

  14. Are you shure its going to hold the pipe with just one clamp? Im doing exactly the same thing on my RS250 now and im searching for the wider clamp for one end.

  15. Its welded and its using an olive joint nothing wrong with that at all

  16. Looked on Streamline Carbon at bits for my 250. Realised how expensive they are and closed the page !

  17. Pmsl

  18. I find no difference at all either mate, the only other sound is a chattering from the clutch when driving in a spirited manner and lifting off.

  19. Changed the engine mounts today. Vibration got on my tits. Hell of a difference just on idle, not got round to driving it yet. Also treated myself to this  looks kinda cool.

  20. Fitted my road pads since I won't be doing anymore track time this year. Also noticed my dust seals are completely burnt to dust so that'll be the next job.

  21. Changed the Wifi OBD2 dongle for a Bluetooth one - and moving to Torque App....

  22. Looking at getting this, where did you get the dongle from mate? The app is cheap enough but not looked into the dongles for them yet.

  23. Daz

New rear discs and pads due to a failed bearing - doesn't sound like the wheel is going to fall off now

I have used this before, the torque pro app is well worth getting it has a lot more stuff, there is a problem with some of the Chinese obd2 plug ins.
Mine stopped working so i bought another plug in but cant delete the old units code.

  25. Glad you were able to walk away from that. Very lucky.

What kind of speed were you going? Looks like the car did a pretty good job of keeping you safe!

  26. I think between 90-100km/h but i wasnt able to hit the brakes because it came so fast. Car jumped over the high three also. Those cars are so safe!

  27. Very lucky to be alive!! Get well soon.

  28. Holy crap, glad to hear you'll be okay.

    RIP Megane

  29. I think I can say that Megane saved me.

Gave her a wash and some detailing later on today..

  31. I had Dash Commander running on the iPhone before... but the Wifi dongle is a pain and has to be unplugged and re-plugged in every time you start the car up - seems to go to sleep and not wake autyomatically... think the BlueTooth one is better... only tried the Lite version of Torque so far, Pro version looks much better... I'll give it a download this weekend... waiting for a new phone, but have a 7" Android tablet to "play" with for now....

  32. Wishing you a speedy recovery mate - one hell of a crash ! and the Megane certainly looks like it saved you.... that was a big tree to jump !!!

I translated the web page, bu the translation on Google was not so good... were you overtaking a Passat when the Elk jumped out ?!
