What have you done to your Car today?

  1. I'm pretty sure I've got a phase 2 linkage on mine so requires machining otherwise I'd have been down to do it. Need to get mine done really.

  2. Just looked at an earlier post from andrewjeffs and mines a phase 2 linkage. Grinder and die grinder sorted mine  diy machining

  3. What year is your car mate?
The seems to be a bit of a transition, the very last ph1 cars 2006 ish have the ph2 linkage but earlier have the ph1.

  4. Yep yours is a ph2 mate.
    Good effort btw!

  5. Cheers

  6. 55 Plate Cup Boardy. Was hoping it was a phase 1 but looks otherwise!

  7. Prob same as mine then.

  8. It's strange I did a 55 plate trophy short shift the other month and that was a phase 1?
    Think it depends what
Parts bin was full at the time!

  9. Washed the car yesterday and today took the back seats out for Knockhill this evening.

Back seats out makes no difference other than noise

I'm sat at Ecotune waiting a lambda sensor to show up so I can get a map tweak and LC enabled

  11. Meh, it's all fun and games for me so a bit of extra noise will keep me happy

  12. every kilo counts lol

They dont weigh that much LOL, my fire extinguisher probably weighs more than the seat bases

  14. How the hell do you remove them?

  15. then you can warrant having them out due to wanting a extinguisher but no anymore weight haha

  16. Brake fluid changed to ATE 200, what a crap the old one was  Also fitted rear brake pads, Ferodo Premiere, I just cant find important to use some more track-suited ones on the rear side. New windscreen found its place with the new wipers, and the hardest was to change (more to find it) the cabin filter for the first time. I can only imagine how hard is it to change it on RHD cars. Im also removing the rear seats completely, so the seat base and backrest also, much better noise without them. Going to the track for the first time on Saturday, its not the fastest one but i want to learn how the car reacts first.

  17. just had the car serviced & Mot'd by the ever helpful Mr Black

  18. Fitted the KTEC induction kit yesterday. And did a track session last night. There is a noticeable difference in the way the car pulls. Really happy with it.

Had it MOT'd and serviced, also had the aircon re-gassed.

Got my rs240 exhaust from the recent group buy fitted too, sounds good.

  20. Washed and waxed the car, pulled out rear interior, also cleaned it from the inside. It looks damn clean now.

  21. I've washed my r26 twice in 5 months ! Was washed yesterday and God it looks good when clean ! Need to keep it up but have been so busy

  22. Yes, it looks so damn good when its been dirty for some time and you clean it properly.

  24. Had my car remapped on a rs250

  25. Fitted my Forge intercooler which I bought from R26Man on here. Wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, fairly straightforward, even for someone with limited mechanical knowledge such as myself  Really pleased with it, the car definitely feels like it picks up quicker now.

  28. Had Dan round to fit new front calipers to the R, also did a full fluid bleed, can't recommend that guy enough, everything he does has to be spot on, very very meticulous, thanks Dan, top man.

  29. Needed some new bits for my last race at rockingham in a couple on weeks.

    Black powerflex front wishbone bushes.
    New ball joints

some dirty track tyres that will do me for one round!

then it will change over the next 6months

  30. Change into a Clio Dan ?

  31. You going for the 'adjustible' ones I've seen about if so let us know if they any good
I'm still on the quest for more camber on front still killing outside edge of my slicks

  32. Clio is a big possibility Steve it's just finding a shell. It's going aftermarket ecu over winter.

The camber adjustable ones are meant to be garbage so I'm just going for poly ones

  33. Can't you just buy a Clio

  34. I could but 80% of it I don't need.

  35. Might make a few quid selling the bits then mate

  36. Minot really as it will be a boggo 197 engine and box maybe 700 other bits not a lot as there is plenty available.

  37. Drive it properly on the small track yesterday, first time ever on the track with any car, think it went fine. And i must admit again, this car can turn!

  39. May stay clear then not seen any reviews of them so weren't sure on making the plunge or not..
what ecu you gonna try? I was offered by local rally prep company that did my cage an OBR ecu, whole new loom and mapped with 2 maps (wet and dry) for £1800 which tbh isn't bad as aftermarket ecus and looms are ways of printing money in some cases lol

  40. Jamsport have offered me the same emu ecu wired and mapped for 1800, I should be able to do the loom and ecu for 1k
