Well this is going to be a pretty large thread and is more a kind of restoration than detail so put the kettle on!

Had this Ferrari 575 in for an Ed detail, basically detail the car and get it to the shape I would like and anything that needs doing do it. This is a well used Ferrari and is also well maintained, also one of my oldest customers so this has been on the cards for a long time.

The car arrived having had a recent 200+ mile trip to Kent so was slightly bug ridden and hadnt been washed for many months.

    Here are the before pictures:

Car was washed then into the garage, clayed and then the paint depth measured, confirming the panels we though had been previously painted had:

Car was then masked up, this is of massive importance especially on a car like this, for minutes of your day you can save a huge cost, the trims etc are not only hard to obtain for these cars but very pricey:

The bonnet had loads of sanding marks on and actually took me a day to get it into the right condition:

That was all done in a day........................short of 2 weeks

  15. I took a close interest in this one as it is the same colour as my Ferrari and the pics don't show how much work went into it. The results are amazing and I'm sure have added value to the car. Now that Ed has finally finished this one he can get his backside round to mine and do some of my backlog of work.

  16. Epic, just epic.

  17. Just fantastic Ed!

As a coincidence, I'm in the middle of doing a dark blue 456GT, enjoyed looking through this thread while I had a cup of tea and took a break

  26. to be honest, both.

I love loving at how you can turn around a 'rough' car, but I also enjoy the close-up pictures of cars I wouldn't otherwise see too often, and the fezza certainly fits that bill.

  31. Its grown on me mate, took awhile to be honest. Done Brands a few times, it tracks well. Apart from power washing it off ive not even washed it, and it still shines a treat, testament to your work mate.

  32. Ps, bit of a fib there, ive had the wheels off after each track day and had the pads out and cleaned the brakes and wheels.

  33. Looks superb that. A Ferrari you rarely see anywhere!

  36. Before i get shot by the Megane lads, i must say i find it easier to use on the track Ed, in the way it puts its power down, power comes in a lot lower down, and i find it pulls out of slow corners better.

I'll be honest mate you have had an have tracked both so I believe you
