After much deliberation, see previous thread ... http://www.rsmegane.com/showthread.php?6643-RS275-trophy-lead-times-and-dealer-discounts http://www.rsmegane.com/showthread....Central-Scotland&p=86594&viewfull=1#post86594 I sold my E92 M3 this morning to WBAC, getting a good bit more money than dealer trade-ins, and should, all going well, be picking up an Arctic White 275 Trophy from Cardiff on Thursday morning. It's got the 19's, pano roof, reverse camera..... Flight booked and looking forward to the 6+ hr drive home. Well pleased and excited to be getting back into a drivers car again.
Different beast. I enjoyed cruising and smooth sweepy roads in the M, but it never delivered the same buzz I got from my old RS250. best drive I ever had was from Scrabster/Thurso to Inverness in the RS....got out at Inverness and was shaking with adrenaline probably the best drive ever. Tried it recently in the M3 and never delivered, to me, the same experience. I found this right through the 15 months I had the E92. Would I buy another....probably not.
Evojkp. Please don't tell everyone about the road from Inverness to thurso, sweeping bends, Barradale Brase, etc., lets keep this bit of road for ourselves.
Congrats to you for having the guts to bin the M3. I bet you will really enjoy the 6+ hour drive home from South Wales in the new Trophy.
Selling the M3 for an RS has been on my mind for a while and glad I've done it. Took a hit on cash but looking forward to a more rewarding drive and enjoying cars again
Fair play to you mate! My flat mate has recently bought an Alpine edition E92 and I can't help thinking that I'd be able to stick with and lose him if I still had my 250. To be fair.. I do that in my SLK, so maybe he's just a shoddy driver I reckon I could end up in the same boat as you as well - I am definitely not as fast a driver in the SLK as I was in the 250 and at times I don't feel like a B road blast is as rewarding in the Merc.. but then the tail wags a lot more than the RS My 250 definitely wasn't my last RenaultSport, let's put it that way Looking forward to pics!
