Rear breaks stuck on

  1. Iv noticed my rear breaks stick on when I leave the car over night. I park on a slight hill and when I relice the hand brake the car doesn't start to roll. When I put in gear and relice the clutch there is a small clunk and it's completely fine. No binding/dragging after that. Are the pads just sticking to the disk or is my hand brake at cable/calipers at fault?

If the car gets driven hard the pads start to squeek but I think this noise is coming from the front so probably un related. All the pads have plenty of meat left but the disks are old and have a slight lip.

  2. The pads are just sticking on the disk mate.. I ve got the same Problem

Since i park in the garage the problem has gone

  3. im sure this is a common problem with the rear calipers. they seize over time. ive had to replace one side and looks like I need to replace again. I have pushed the pistons back but the two shafts they slide on are very stiff in moving.

  4. I might take the calipers off and give a good clean/copper grease etc to hopfuly prevent them getting worse.
