I've got a 265 Red Bull RB7 that I'm looking to put a set of OZ Racing Superturismo's on.. Only problem is, the original offset is +65 and the only offset available in a set of 19 inch Superturismo LM's with the right PCD is +38.. A) will this cause any problems? (other than just giving the car a badass stance ) and b) is it even legal to change the offset by that much?

By going to such a lower offset you are drastically changing the scrub radius. I personally wouldn't, Especially on stock suspension but can understand that people like the look more than the function. FWIW i ran 15mm spacers on mine not long after i bought it, Had it on a TD and came back in and removed them after 10 mins.
If you want aftermarket wheels with closest possible to stock dimensions, take a look at the TSW Nurburgring 18x9J ET63 wheels. I have fitted them on mine, and they are most likely one of the lightest wheels you can find as well.
My initial set was ordered through a Dutch importer. Sadly, that one went bankrupt. Had an extremely difficult time getting my hands on wheels after that. As I had to get a spare wheel, I resorted to ordering from the US through here: http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/tww-65803/overview/ One of the very few online shops that shipped to Europe. The TSW rims are incredibly expensive though ($2000-2200 for a set of 4 including shipping and import taxes is about right). Really light rims though at only 8,8kg per wheel.
are you prepared to pay 3700 to 4000 euro per set , cause i have also been talking to an importer of advan and ray wheels and if you want those wheels with "high offset" most of them are forged and that is the price range (also the waiting time of around 3 months for your set to be finished) i also went to other brands but they always say that offset 45 is the highest in most of the cast wheels produced , if you want a higher offset you have to go custom or look for a different brand avant garde , niche road wheels , work , fifteen52 , ADV1 , VIP modular and many other popular brands if you want something in offset 50 (or higher) you will be looking around 4k to 5k++ euro a set but we are talking full custom 3 piece rims (colour and hardware of your choice) if the Megane RS had a porsche bolt pattern 5x130 it would be a joy to get rims , but because of the japanese bolt pattern 5x114.3 most of the jap wheels have low offset and that is a big no go for the megane RS unless you dont mind that your tires sticks out a few inches this is for me the only nightmare and massive downside the megane 3 rs has high offset wheels with japanese bolt pattern , i do not find it easy to find wheels that suit my taste in a normal price range (2000 to 2500 euro )
If I was shopping for wheels then yes, but I'm a sucker for Japanese wheels. Also the RS2 and RZ2 are flow formed, not forged.
you are right +1 but i did say "most of them are forged" (if you go in that price range)that doesn't mean all rims of advan i just named them in general i was also a sucker for japanese wheels but after going on and talking to quite some distributors for Work,Rays,Advan that had some rims in my size they happily said sure you can get them in this size but it will be around 1000 euro per rim and an estimated wait time of 3 months (or even longer some sources say that have rays rims) now imagine you curb one of those single piece forged/flow formed rims , well you can leave it curbed .... (but i would be sad all day long ) or you will have to either repair it (if it is still possible to do it nicely) or buy a new one but that means you have to wait another 3 months for 1 stupid rim so option 2 is go for 3 piece rims , but then the price range bumps up even more and people around you start calling you a bit of a crazy person (happend to me xD) if you spend that amount of money for "shoes" that is almost worth a clio 182 as a trackday toy , then you begin to think is that piece of aluminium really worth that amount of money... just see this and my other post as a mildly frustrated rant , i'm also desperate for some new shoes for my M3RS and most of the time it is they are bloody expensive or they are not my taste and if i go in between , they are still expensive for what they are made of or how they look compared to the other brands....
