225 Standard engine mounts or uprated?

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Cavell07, Aug 10, 2015.

  1. Had some annoying vibrating going through the car on idle and when I rev the car so presumed it could be engine mount issues (hoping its nothing more), looking at sorting it out this week.

What would people recommend? Been told by a friend of mine who's a mechanic to go for uprated ones but is it really worth doing? Just after advice from people that at have done it and if so is it worth it.

    Many thanks.

    Paul.

P.s - tried contacting Adam as I spoke about ordering them through him a while back but not seeming to get a reply.

  2. If u go to the track get some uprated ones

  3. As much as I'd love to it'll be road only mate

  4. Then oem would be ok

  5. I'd just get the powerflex inserts

I fitted the black series upper engine mount on Sunday and no more engine rocking when letting off, on idle there's some vibration but only because I know it there's

  6. Can always try the purple series power flex, a bit less rigid than the black so give less vibration.

  7. So you just push in these powerflex inserts?

  8. Indeed, I just used some grease to slide it in.

  9. Do you have a link, I fancy one of these

  10. Cheers guys. Might look into doing that
