225 dif

  1. Hi guys. Had my o/s driveshaft replaced last week due to the clicking on full lock only to still have the same issue with the new one fitted. Mechanic is now saying it could be the dif in the box. Is this right or could there be something else thats not quite so excessive and expensive to fix? Any help would be great.
     
  2. Is it clicking as you turn to full lock while stationary or clicking on full lock while you setting off?
     
  3. Full lock when setting off mate.
     
  4. Youd think its still a driveshaft cv joint. Never heard a diff clicking?
     
  5. I have no idea. Its just having another shaft fitted now incase the other was faulty. If that doesnt solve it i dont really no what to do.
     
  6. Did you get to the bottom of this buddy as I have the same problem . . .

    Replaced both driveshafts only still to be clicking . . . only on set off whilst turning.

    I vaguely do remember reading the gearbox can make noises though.
     
  7. When first firing the car up and setting off you do get a drumming type noise with the ABS preforming a self test.
     
  8. Boardy. I get that sort of noise. Always has it since owned it. ???
