Check injectors message showing on Megane computer

  1. I have a check injectors message showing on my trip computer what could this be and will it fail its mot with it?

  2. It could be a number of things. You need to get in on a computer really to see what.

If it's running okay you may be okay with the MOT. Does it run well?

  3. It runs perfect no issues what so ever and previous owner said AA came out and said the injectors are fine but that could just be a selling tactic?

  4. Like I say, you need to get it on a code reader to find out the exact problem.

The check injector messages appears for anything to do with the fuel/intake system, for example mine did it when the throttle body return was malfunctioning. Needed a new throttle body but after diagnosing properly.

Put simply, if the message is on then the car has an issue. Where are you in the world?

  5. As above, you have to get it on a diagnostics, its doesn't have to be Renault BTW.

Any management light illuminated at the time of MOT test is a fail now.

  6. Funny I was just going to say mines (on motorway at speed) twice this week as shown check injector and gone into limp home mode, then shows ESP/ASR fault and shows the service light. The engine management light never comes on.
anyome in Manchester or Leeds area with clip or good scanner want to take a look this weekend?

  7. I've had this recently. What did you do when you was on the motorway when it happened, just carried on or? Just wondering cuz I had to pull over with the loss of power..was pretty horrible tbh with it being a not-so-smart motorway with no hard shoulder

  8. I carried on until the next junction, both times it was not to far away.
    what was wrong with yours?
i've lost confidence in the car at the min

  9. Still not sure. It's currently having a broken clutch looked at - that was also not much fun! luckily not on the motorway!!

I used the wife's astra a while back while my car was having work done, that ended up with a lamba sensor issue - again on the motorways and main roads around Birmingham. Misdiagnosed first, happend again then fixed. i was still stressing at any little noise for a couple of weeks after tho

I finally got mine back and thought yay no more stress then a couple of days later I get the check injection light. Had to pull off into one of the bays but it took an age to get there. Felt like I was running out of power quickly. Had trucks and other car drivers beeping at me cuz of the speed but I had nowhere to go.

Ive put the checklight down to not yet having the final map, while running a hybrid still on std injectors - running it in so I wasn't even giving it the beans when it happened.

I know what you mean, with all that and now the clutch I genuinely feel like catching the train, just don't have any confidence in any car right now especially mine. :worried:
