Hello, Yesterday I heard a wierd knock form my engine. The loudest part seems to be in the middle of the engine bay. Between the gearbox and 1st cylinder. I tought it might be a bend rod but when reving the engine the knocking isnt getting faster. Tomorrow I will go to check the engine compression. But here we dont have many renault specialist so any advice will be welcome. I need the car to be in good shape till the 31st. Thank you very much.
Have a closer listen see if it's coming from the aux belt side as the clutch on the ac compressor can stick slightly, bit of a clack sound?
I will see. I think it might be a injector fault because the car is misfiring a little i think. Can the aux clutch be the reason that when I turn on the AC and the Idle becomes rought. The car is vibrating a lot more than any other car I have driven.
Its maybe a misfire and because the engine is shaking I hear that metal knock. Does it sound like a bend bottom end?
Until I can actually get a sound recording I'm bumping this thread, sorry op. I have a 225 and my car is making the exact same sound . Any my help would be kind
