  1. No, not sure what the issue is yet. It's being picked up this week so I'll find out soon. Was a rather almighty bang though! I almost physically shat myself..

  2. Fitted Phillips diamond white 5k bulbs to my non xenons and they are miles miles miles better

  3. Changed me hub bearings

Nice little job all in all

  4. Looks far better like this, did this to my 200 when I had it. Gives it a bit of the vintage French look

  5.
  6. Removed inner TRE and replaced steering bush on boggo 1.5dCi wifewagon plus new TRE:

  7. Fired it up today after some time in storage on the c-tec battery conditioner.

Man it sounds good after driving a van for months.

Plan is to pull it out into the workshop and get it all washed up and ready for a little bit of work.

  8. Got my cambelt kit and waterpump delivered.
Just need a dry day to fit it now.

  9. Tell me about it, I had 30 minutes this morning to swap me anti twist links before the heavens opened lol

Least it was dry yesterday when I did me hub bearings

  10. It does my head in getting all the tools out then it bloody rains.
I could leave it but I want to fit before the weather gets too cold and it's dark at 4pm.
    I really wish I had a garage.

  11. Yeah I sometimes have use of me mates unit but don't like to take the piss, I really need to find me own this winter.

Thing is once your wet its sometimes easier just to carry on lol

  12. Haha not me.
I don't like getting wet, first drop of rain and my tools are away and I'm in the house getting the kettle on.

  13. Great stuff mate!!!

  14. Finally bought a glove box with the trim on

  15. I had the short shift mod done for my phase 1 and I absolutely love it. It transforms the gear change and is so much better to drive. Also had the injectors changed to a freshly cleaned set and I may be imagining it but the car feels smoother and mpg so far is better from 23 to 27 mpg?

  16. How much do these go for?

Gapped my plugs to cure the misfire since it had been mapped, Still need to take it out a blast to check though

  18. I paid £26, prices vary though.

    Plugs or misfire?

Seems to have cured it but time will tell when i get it on a proper blast.

  21. Took the rear seats out, sound pretty cool giving it a few revs

  22. A good clean yesterday, love the capsicum red when its properly clean!

  23. Best colour out of them all capsicum I think haha

  24. Couldn't agree more haha.

Also removed sound insulation/ deadening from airbox

  25. Bang on with the Cap Red guys.

  26. Superb colour!!

  27. The mk2 is ultra red not capsicum.

  28. Nah, it's definitely a Mk 2 phase 1 cap red cup. Says so in the factory papers.

  29. Changed the dash cover from grey to black. Kept it flocked to stop the glare on the windscreen.[IMG]
Only a few more bits to go black and I will be happy.

  30. Another layer of wax added, seeing as it's raining outside and I can listen to the radio in the garage. Better than moping inside

  31. Did about 800 miles of hooning around Scotland and N/England at the weekend.

  32. Treated car with a "stage 1" tune, staying away from silly torque numbers.. now it needs a good wash..

  33. Do you know what your old and new boost levels are?

  34. if you can trust what Torque reports, the highest I've seen before is 1.0 bar, today after the mapping, I saw it go to 1.3 for a blip, but looked more like 1.2 sustained..

  35. Nice one, thanks.

Gave the R26 a good clean over the weekend. Killed me to drive it to work today in the rain :worried:

can anyone advise what sidelight bulbs I can get to better match the xenons?
